Today Canonical released Ubuntu 9.04 and the sister distribution Kubuntu 9.04.
The main changes of Ubuntu 9.04 compared to the previous version are:
- Gnome 2.26 for Ubuntu and KDE 4.2 for Kubuntu;
- X.Org server 1.6;
- Wacom tablet hotplugging;
- Improved boot performance;
- Linux kernel 2.6.28.8
- Ext4 filesystem support
