Novell out of the desktop market
Follwing the Red Hat decision, even Novell decided to step out from the user’s desktop market and concentrate to the enterprise market.
Novell indirectly agreed with Red Hat in pointing Microsoft Windows monopoly as the cause of the difficulties in breaking into the users’ desktop market.
Novell’s CEO Ron Hovsepian, during a PC World interview, stated that: “The market for the desktop for the next three to five years is mainly enterprise-related.”.
