Google makes changes to sales and marketing organizations
Bad times even for Google. The Mountain View company is planning to lay off 200 employees on both sales and marketing departments.
According to Google (official announcement), its own fast grow in the last few years inadvertently led to some incorrect choices and over-investments in some department that then created overlapping organizations.
Fortunately for the involved Googlers, as the BigG calls its employees, there will be an option to evaluate other positions at Google or eventually benefit from outplacement support and severance packages.
