Psystar obscured for OpenMac name
Psystar, a company selling Mac-compatile computers, took its web site off-line yesterday in order to change the name of its main product from OpenMac to OpenComputer.
The OpenMac is a computer compatible with those branded directly by Apple, but at much lower cost and with the possibility to expand its hardware like the PC; the latest version can run Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
Apple mainly complained about the name, but there are also legal issues with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard EULA (End User License Agreement) since it states that the operative system can be used only on the computer sold directly by Apple itself.
