In general, I find that the two aforementioned commands do all sorts of wonders. If you already have added “deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu jaunty main” (and the key — don’t forget the key), then the update is really easy to add:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude full-upgrade

This should do it!!

In general, I find that the two aforementioned commands do all sorts of wonders.
